About Junction
Junction was founded in June of 2008. The site was called "The Junction Forums",it was mainly just a forum. Then in September we had a plan to switch servers and make it more then a forum. On September 30,2008 it was the last day of the old "The Junction Forums",Then the new "The Junction" site opened. As for the old forums it was closed on September 30,2008 at 8:00pm. Then the new site would have more improvement and we upgraded to the next level with contests,on demand features,a home page and a chat. On November 27,we announced we would be launching "Junction XD" in January 2009,the 2nd next level of Junction. On January 1,2009,"The Junction" became "Junction XD",XD brought along a new J-Blog,Clubs,MSN On Demand,More boards in the forum and a hot theme. On January 3,2009 XD became a slogan "Xtreme Dementional". More changes happened on January 5,2009,Photo Of The Month contest Transit & Random merged into one,J-Blog was renamed into XD Interactive as more gadgets were added to there and J-Player merged into the XD Interactive and Hero Rising,a Mortal Combat like game was brought to XD. On January 22,2009 Junction launched "Junction Transit Forums",mainly focused on NY/NJ Transit. On January 29 Junction RickRolled the Home page which was called "XD Rolled" with the famous Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". On February 20th,2009 Junction released its AJAX Chat Room for both XD and Transit sites. On March 7th,2009,Junction Transit merged into the Junction XD Forum,the Junction Transit site closed down. On April 1,2009 (April Fools Day) XD rickrolled the home page again as its first April Fool prank! XD will be launching its VIP program in April 2009 where certain members get special privleges.
